Over the past fifteen years, Joe has appointed many of Australia’s most prominent General Counsel and Governance professionals – including across numerous of the ASX50-listed companies – he has done this in a diverse range of sectors, including financial services, real estate, consumer, industrial, biotech and software.

Joe is deeply interested in the evolving role of the Group Company Secretary and its impact on board performance and processes.  As a former private practice lawyer with Gilbert + Tobin, Joe has also collaborated with both local and global law firms on strategic partner projects and firm leadership roles.

Before joining Johnson Partners, Joe held Partner roles at several leading domestic firms. He was among the founding group of Partners at Mason Wilhelm and previously led the legal practice for Russell Reynolds in Asia. Joe is passionate about leveraging technology and data in innovative, market-leading ways to evolve the executive search and leadership advisory industry.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales.
