Jane founded Boardroom Partners in 1999, and over it’s 20+ years it had become one of the region’s most successful board advisory and search firms having led over 200 Board Reviews and having appointed over 300 of the region’s most influential Chairs and non-executive directors.
As leader of Johnson Partners’ Board Practice, Jane provides advice on the performance, structure and composition of boards. This combination enables Jane to assist Boards to address their toughest strategic and operational challenges with a sound understanding of their culture and goals, through to identifying long-term succession needs including chair rotations and successful leadership replacements.
Jane has worked with boards for almost 20 years and is well qualified to advise and assist with board practice and composition. After a career in HR management and policy work for state government, Jane worked as a consultant specialising in leadership and planning. She has worked as a consultant to boards advising on a range of matters relating to recruitment of directors and performance of boards. Jane is interested in the human elements of governance, and in the difference that can be made by active and effective boards.
Jane is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Chief Executive Women. She is a member of the Advisory Board for the School of Corporate Governance at the University of Technology – Sydney and is a former Councillor for the University of Wollongong.
Jane has a Bachelor of Arts from Leeds Metropolitan University, a Graduate Diploma in Education, and a Master of Arts from Sydney College of the Arts.
