Sky is New Zealand’s largest multi-platform media company, delivering sport, entertainment, news, and broadband services to over 900,000 New Zealanders through satellite, streaming, and fibre. A mainstay of the nation’s broadcasting landscape, Sky continues to evolve its offering through digital transformation, premium content partnerships and product innovation.

David brings more than 30 years of senior financial and executive experience to the role. He joins Sky from NZME, where he has served as CFO since 2018, leading financial strategy across a complex multi-brand, multi-platform environment. Prior to this, he was CFO at Heartland Bank and earlier held a 25-year tenure with Air New Zealand, including as Deputy CFO, where he played a central role in the airline’s financial turnaround, investor engagement and large-scale transformation programmes.

A recognised leader in his field, David was named Brightstar CFO of the Year in 2024 and is known for his calm, commercial approach and deep stakeholder credibility. His appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Sky, as the company advances its strategy to deliver the best of sport and entertainment through an optimised mix of satellite and digital platforms.
