Johnson Partners is pleased to share the appointment of Sid Baidwan as Chief AI Officer at Colonial First State.

Sid is a senior financial services executive with deep experience spanning enterprise AI, strategy and large scale transformation across Australia, Asia and Europe. He brings a rare combination of hands on AI leadership and commercial accountability, with a track record of moving organisations from ambition to execution.

Most recently, Sid has led AI, data and automation at scale within complex, regulated environments. His career includes senior leadership roles at Smartgroup, Suncorp and HSBC, as well as earlier experience with McKinsey, advising boards and executive teams on strategy and transformation.

This appointment reflects CFS’s focus on disciplined, impact led technology leadership, and the importance of experienced judgement as organisations embed AI at the core of decision making and customer delivery.
