We are delighted to have partnered with Livestock Improvement (LIC) on the appointment of Brent Mealings as Chief Financial Officer following an extensive executive search by Johnson Partners.
LIC is a New Zealand dairy farmer-owned co-operative and world leader in pasture-based dairy genetics and herd management. LIC exists to deliver superior genetics and technological innovation to help shareholders sustainably farm profitable animals. With a 100-year history, LIC is headquartered in the Waikato, with over 25 sites across New Zealand, Australia, UK and Ireland.
Reporting to David Chin, Chief Executive of LIC, Brent will be responsible for business performance, financials, risk management, transformation office, secretariat and procurement as LIC delivers its next decade of growth and innovation to the farming industry of New Zealand.

Brent joins LIC from Metro Performance Glass, a listed glass supplier and manufacturer in New Zealand. As a member of the leadership team, he successfully navigated the company through extreme supply chain and market conditions. Prior to joining Metro, Brent had a long and successful 17-year career with Fonterra. He held leadership roles across several finance teams including, global operations, innovation and commercial teams.
