Over 80 years, Ritchies Transport has grown into one of New Zealand’s largest and most successful bus companies. It is now a nationwide company having a diverse fleet of over 1600 vehicles and 1800 staff. It is currently embarking on a signficant transformation, growth and modernisation program designed to position it as a leading and innovative service organisation for the future.

John has held leadership roles in listed and private equity-owned companies across multiple sectors, including Group Chief Executive of ACG Education, Group Managing Director of NZX-listed Hellaby Holdings and senior leadership positions with Fletcher Building and Bendon.

Previous governance experience includes Hellaby Holdings, Hockey New Zealand and numerous distribution, manufacturing, industrial services, retail and education businesses in New Zealand and Australia.

A major shareholder and Managing Director of Sale Street Holdings and Three Oaks Capital, he also provides advisory services, including business turnaround and performance improvement, to various clientele.
