KiwiRail appoints Jason Dale as Chief Financial Officer

We are delighted to have partnered with KiwiRail on the appointment of Jason Dale as Chief Financial Officer following an extensive executive search undertaken by Johnson Partners.

As KiwiRail’s transformation and growth program accelerates, Jason will be required to play a lead role, along with the Senior Leadership Team, to work closely with Chief Executive Peter Reidy to drive and hit key financial and operational metrics over the next 12-24 months.

Jason is a seasoned senior finance executive with almost 30 years’ experience principally in finance roles working across a diverse range of industries in agribusiness, fisheries, infrastructure (airports), steel, transportation/telematics and telecommunications. He has managed businesses working in a range of international jurisdictions, particularly Australia and the United States and has a strong understanding of international business and market dynamics.

He is an experienced listed company CFO who has held senior finance roles with three NZX listed companies; EROAD, PGG Wrightson and Auckland International Airport and was most recently the Chief Commercial & Financial Officer – New Zealand & Pacific Islands for New Zealand Steel, where he played a leading role in a similarly complex transformation program, including the Emissions Reduction Partnership announced with the New Zealand government.

Jason takes up his role with KiwiRail on October 2nd.

Many thanks to the KiwiRail Account Team – Simon Monks, Natalie Stones, Katie Mills and Wendy Sole.
