The company serves a wide range of customers from DIY enthusiasts up to national construction and civil infrastructure contractors through a number of channels, including retail, B2B and online. Key operations include a national footprint of 70 branches and 600 staff.

Cameron Mathewson draws from a strong international financial career spanning both listed and private company environments. He has led multi-jurisdictional finance teams for Scott Technology, Brand Developers, Pitney Bowes and Fonterra. He has also held the position of Chief Financial Officer for Alliance Group, a $2bn farmer-owned Co-operative. Most recently, he was the Chief Financial Officer for Tourism Holdings Limited (thl). Hirepool is well-positioned to play a lead role in supporting accelerated growth in New Zealand’s construction and infrastructure sectors.

Cameron has a distinct customer-centric and multi-branded business profile from his earlier career, having worked in both the UK and New Zealand. His drive, energy and collaborative leadership style will be hugely supportive as Hirepool continues to build its capability and footprint across New Zealand.
