Hakoah Club is seeking its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) offering a rare opportunity to lead one of Australia’s most significant Jewish community institutions. Hakoah’s landmark new facility in Paddington will become the heart of Jewish community life in Sydney, bringing people together through sport, wellbeing, culture, dining and shared belonging.

The Role

Reporting to the Board, the CEO is responsible for Hakoah’s strategic, operational and commercial leadership. You will lead the organisation through the opening of its new facility and the critical years that follow, ensuring it is both a vibrant community institution and a financially sustainable business. This role requires sound judgement, genuine community connection, commercial acumen and the resilience to lead in a complex, high-profile environment.

About You

We are seeking a proven leader – CEO, General Manager or equivalent – who brings integrity, warmth and commercial discipline in equal measure. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• A track record of senior leadership ideally in community, sport, hospitality, leisure or member-based organisations, with transferable experience managing a complex, multi-use facility
• The ability to engage with and influence stakeholders, including community leaders, government and commercial partners
• Strong strategic and commercial acumen and credibility with boards
• A genuine and personal connection to the Jewish community, with a deep understanding of its values, culture and the responsibility of leading its most prominent new institution

A competitive remuneration package will be offered commensurate with the scope of this role.
