As CFO, Julie will lead Genesis Energy’s finance, risk, capital markets, investor relations, and M&A functions in delivering a best practice financial function that sustains achievement of the Company’s Gen35 strategy. She will lead a team that creates value and transparency for the Company and its stakeholders, supports execution of effective business strategy and provides a compliant, and efficient platform for the capital structure and financial decision making and operations of the entire organisation.

Julie Amey has had career of over 30 years of international finance experience, holding various finance positions primarily in the energy sector in different countries including New Zealand, Qatar, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. Julie was recently Chief Financial Officer at dual NZX/ASX-listed SkyCity Entertainment Group in Auckland, New Zealand, where she has been since May 2021. Prior to this, Julie held a number of senior finance roles with the Shell Group around the world since 2001.

Genesis Energy (GNE), listed on both the NZX and ASX, supplies electricity, natural gas, and LPG to 490,000 customers. Its geographic coverage and diverse generation assets are a vital part of Aotearoa’s energy system, supporting the renewable energy sector.
