Fiona Oliver appointed to Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation Board

Johnson Partners is delighted to have worked closely to support the Independent Nominating Committee (chaired by Nick Wells) to recommend to the Minister of Finance, for his consideration, the appointment of Fiona Oliver to the Board of the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation.

Fiona is an experienced governance leader with a strong understanding of global financial influences. Previously a senior Corporate & Commercial lawyer, she has had an extensive executive career in funds and asset management in New Zealand and overseas.

She has held Board roles across a breadth of sectors including renewable energy, natural gas, technology, commercial property, financial services, professional services, and sport. These roles have been in publicly listed, privately owned commercial, Crown/public sector and not-for-profit entities.

Following approval of, and recommendation by, the Minister of Finance, and appointment by the Governor-General, Fiona joined the Guardians’ Board from 24 March 2023.
