Colonial First State appoints Chris de Wit as Chief Risk Officer

Chris is a distinguished leader in risk, strategy, and transformation, with over 25 years of experience across banking, insurance, and wealth management.
As a senior financial services risk partner at KPMG since 2021, Chris has driven significant transformation and assurance programs for leading financial institutions.
Previously, he led Westpac’s global financial crime transformation, spearheading the groups response to AUSTRAC’s regulatory action. Chris has also previously held executive roles with AIA and ASB, where he delivered major integration and strategic initiatives.
Chris is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor and is renowned for delivering impactful change, strengthening risk frameworks, and building high-performing teams.
