BusinessNZ is New Zealand’s leading business advocacy body, representing a broad spectrum of businesses across the country. It is dedicated to championing the interests of its 70,000 members by influencing policy and advocating for sustainable economic growth for the New Zealand economy.

Katherine is an accomplished leader and CEO with experience in both the public and private sectors. Most recently, Katherine she has been consulting to public-relations-led integrated communications and marketing agency, Anthem.

Between 2009 and 2022, she was CEO of the New Zealand Food and Grocery Council, the industry body representing food and grocery manufacturers and marketers. She began her career as a policy analyst and held other agri-business roles in marketing and general management, prior to serving as a member of the New Zealand House of Representatives for the National Party from 1999 to 2008.

Katherine joins BusinessNZ at a particularly challenging time for the economy, but one also where opportunities for the private sector to compete and grow over the next economic cycle are gathering momentum.
